Night Driving Vol. 1
Night Driving Vol.1 is my second LP and one of my greatest headaches. This album was made at a time when my ambition far exceeded my skill level, which in turn created major frustration during production, mixing and mastering. I’m fairly certain I almost quit making music entirely during the tail end of this one. Regardless, here it is in all of it’s raw glory.
I pursued a theme with this one, obviously being driving around at night and listening to music. I’ve had many beautiful late night drives listening to progressive house from the late 00’s and early 10’s and I wanted to pay tribute to that feeling. I also thought I’d be slick and have the tracks blend together as seamlessly as I could get them to blend.
After completion of the album, I rigged a camera to my car and drove down I-95 in Philadelphia to pair the album with a “music video”, which you can watch below.
Fun fact: The track “Dusk” is a tribute to the Adam K & Soha masterpiece, “Twilight”, which might very well be the greatest night driving song of all time!
